Show Me Your... RING

I saw this on Poekitten and Britt Dill's blogs and thought I would play along on Mrs. Yellow Ribbon's MeMe!

Before I get on with this, though, have you entered my Souvenir Giveaway?  Better get on that!
Ain't it purdy? I have another band that stacks on top but my finger isn't long enough so I wear it as a right hand ring on occasion.  Or as a wedding band when I don't want to wear all the bling.
Did you look at rings together?
No we didn't.  At the time he was at Fort Leonard Wood and I was in NM working for Cummins Engine Company.  I knew that we were going to get engaged soon and had been perusing the internet jewelry shops and had (as a joke) sent him a ring with pink stones in it.  He took this to mean I would only say yes to a ring like this and contacted a jeweler to design and make it.  My first ring broke though and a second brand new one (with slightly bigger stones) was made and is the one I wear today.

Do you like your ring? Did you from the beginning?...and be honest!
Yes and Yes.  It is so pretty and unique.  I still look at it and marvel at how pretty it is especially when it has just been cleaned and is extra sparkly.

How often do you wear your rings?
I try not to sleep in it.  It is hard on the prongs and is how the first one broke (that and it was made with flawed gold with sediments).

Do you clean your rings?
I clean it... and this is gross... whenever it starts to smell funky... or if I want it to  be extra sparkly for a special occasion.  It is in need right now.

What went through your mind the very first time you saw your ring?
Oh Sparkly! We went to the theater after he proposed (watched National Treasure) and in the dark I was moving it around to catch the light and sparkle. I am like a raccoon, though, and LOVE shiny things.

Very purdy! :) I looked at a similar ring with pink side stones before I found "the ring." To this day when we go out somewhere with dim lighting I always am distracted by the sparklyness of my ring! :)
