MFF #12

Thanks to wifeofasailor for the questions every week.  If you are new to the game and want to play just click on the button.

This week's questions:
Do you set goals for yourself during deployment?  What are some of them?

Well, I just read through this week's questions and there will not be too insightful of answers from me.  I don't set goals for myself during deployment.  Adam has been absent from our home for various reasons, including deployments, and I have just gotten used to it so when he is gone is sort of our normal, as sad as that may sound.

What would you say to someone dating a military guy or gal?

Don't feel like because your significant other is in the military you have to be all about the military and make it your life.  Keep things in perspective and don't lose yourself.  The military does have some fun traditions, though, and you may feel like you are part of a "special" club at times.

If you have children, how do you prepare them to move to a new place?

No children so this doesn't apply to me... and we may not have kids so it may never apply.

Name one hobby that gets you through alone time.

Watching movies... I like to go to the theater by myself even.

What’s the one food you don’t ever get tired of?

Cheese and pickles... I lived off of them in college.  I could also eat rice and/or Mexican food everyday of the year.

I lived alone for so long before I met my husband that having him gone isn't quite the strain on me it is for some. (Although a year is a bit much.) And we don't have kids either, so I think that probably makes a difference, too.
