This week's questions:
What is a weird/funny superstition that you have?

I know I have got to have something but I am totally drawing a blank.  Sorry I am pretty boring on this one.

What are your hopes and dreams for the years AFTER the military? After all, we aren’t in it forever!

I would try and live the "normal" life I thought I was going to live before I met Adam.  We live a "normal" life now but our "normal" isn't like other people's normal and it makes me super jealous.  I want to be able to call up my friends and go to a movie whenever.  I don't want to be separated by states and oceans from those friends or from my family.  I don't want Skype to be a daily word in my house.  I want to, maybe, have a kid and not have that child's father feel like he is missing out because duty calls... and I don't want duty calling to be a reason why we can't plan something like having a child or taking a vacation.

Since [this] month is National Apple Month (no really!), I’d probably ask: What is your yummiest apple recipe?

Coming from the great state of Washington I LOVE Apples and I am HUGE apple snob.  How can I not be, though?  Have you eaten a Washington Apple?  I love in hand apples cut up in slices and dipped.  My favorite dip is simply known as Apple Dip.  This isn't my recipe but my BFF Tasha's family's recipe.  Her mom used to make it for us when we would go out to their cabin and I have been in love with it ever since.  When I was in High School I watched her make it and have been throwing it together ever since.  I have no clue what the exact measurements are because I am usually a "to taste" cook so the measurements in the recipe could be off so play around with it.

How long have you gone as a military spouse without talking to your husband/wife during service? 

I  really don't know.  I can't say I have kept track but it hasn't been more than a day or so without emails.  As far as actually speaking we have went a week or two but we had emails that filled the time.


I occasionally watch When I was 17… on MTV. So, what was something that was significant about your 17th year of life? 

High School was a miserable time for me.  I can't even remember anything significant about my 17th year except that I was a Senior.  I try to think back to that year and I remember my friends at the lunch table in the cafeteria and flashes of Homecoming Game/Bonfire, computer class, speech class, prom, senior trip to California and graduation (that was was when I was 18) but nothing significant happened just the same old same old.
