MFF #13

Thanks to wifeofasailor for the questions every week.  If you are new to the game and want to play just click on the button.

This week's questions:
How do you spend your deployment money, do you save, pay off bills or enjoy the extra money while it is there to buy the things you do not normally have?

We saved a little, paid credit cards off and spent a little of fun things (a fancy Panasonic massage chair that Adam had been eyeing at Brookstone for years - it was a pity purchase because he found out while he was on R&R that he was being extended to 15 months, new bedroom furniture, Adam's evil RC car empire)

If you could relive one occasion or moment, what would it be?

I really don't know what I would want to relive. Even my wedding, the great day that it was, was still pretty stressful and there were parts that I like to block from my mind when I recall one of the happiest days of my life... you know how petty things can bother you on days like that?

What’s the worst job you ever had and if it was so bad why did you take it?

The worst job I ever had was the one day I worked at McDonald's in Moscow, Idaho.  I had had some issues with financial aid that year and it was the only year that I didn't have a Work Study job and I wasn't a RA yet and I was strapped for cash.  I had no money to go do fun things and my bestie, Kate, was kind enough to float me for some things but I didn't want to do that.  My car wasn't so reliable and McD's was within walking distance.  I had worked at DQ all through high schools and on the summers up to that point so I figure that the change in fast food chains would be fine.  It would have been but from the minute I walked in the door it was a nightmare and by the end of the night I was quitting.  I didn't even return the uniform.  I threw it in the dumpster behind my dormitory and never went to collect my paycheck for the one day.  It was so bad in fact I refused to eat there for years.

If you could play any character on TV, who would you be?

I love TV but I really don't know who I would like to play. Maybe Elena on the Vampire Diaries because she occasionally gets to Damon and he is dreamy.

If you could become the world’s expert in something, what would it be?

Oh that is too much pressure.  I don't want to be the top dog in anything.  I like being a middle person, just fine.  I am not a type A personality at all.

I love your answer to being an expert! I've been known to say that I don't want to have to work at the top of my skill set for any length of time...I want to be in the middle and occasionally rise to the top! Less stress at work means less stress at home!

HMB - That McD's was a nightmare. My hubby and his sister both worked at McD's in HS and they said it was a great job. I think I picked a crappy location at a crappy time in my life.

Annie - I totally agree. Rising occasionally while staying blissful in the middle sounds perfect!

I totally agree with your stand on being an expert! I am perfectly content being not being the best at anything!
